Why are my frames so low in minecraft

In this video I’ll show you how to gain better fps on a good, gaming PC.Code:-Xincgc -Xmx2048MDiscord: Hi!

There are other answers below:

Even with a decent amount of RAM, keeping lots of tabs or applications open will take up unnecessary memory while playing Minecraft, leading to more frame drops. Closing these down should ease some of the problems, or you might want to consider upgrading your RAM, especially if it’s under 8GB.

I have a pretty good pc (rtx 2080 and ryzen 5 3600) and i can run other games very smoothly but for some reason my minecraft is running at around 30-40 fps max. I have vsync off and my framerate is capped at 100 so idk why its running so poorly. 5 comments. 100% Upvoted. This thread is archived.

I found a little solution : I changed supply parameters from my computer (energy save >>> high performance). It increased my FPS from 50. But 60 FPS is not enough (in stead of 200 FPS) with a quad core and a overcloked powerful graphic card. Rollback Post to Revision RollBack. #10 May 16, 2012.

If your FPS is low, you might have an outdated graphics card. You might also not have enough RAM (Random Access Memory) allocated to Minecraft. Both of these can easily be bought or ordered, I have 8 gigabytes of RAM and a nice NVIDIA graphics card from 2014, and I can run Minecraft at around 120 FPS without mods.

Re: Minecraft is getting low fps, low cpu usage, and 70% gpu usage It should happen due to Incorrect graphic settings may be the cause. If Minecraft or another game is not using the dedicated GPU, check what are the default settings.

Minecraft makes little changes to hundreds of small files every second. Regular hard drives are pretty slow at these frequent updates. Using RAMDisk will reserve a small chunk of your total RAM and make the updates much quicker; as RAM is much faster at Reading / Writing than standard hard drives.

My hypothesis: You have a maximum of 8 GB given to Minecraft, but it is only using 300 MB. This means that the garbage collector is working like crazy trying to keep Minecraft using

Im getting only around 40 fps on max settings in Minecraft. In other games, like The Witcher 3, Im getting 60+ fps on ULTRA settings. I really don`t how I can fix it. I even allocated 8 GB of RAM to Minecraft, and it didn’t change anything. I also set power usage to HIGH PERFORMANCE because I heard that this can be the issue, but it is not.
