Also know, is Carleton a bad university?
It's a good university, I highly recommend going. The admin cares, profs are good (but you can get good profs at uOttawa too), and the campus is nice and much cleaner than uOttawa. I did two degrees at Carleton. It has a vibrant campus community, with tons of clubs and activities to get involved with.
Subsequently, question is, what is Carleton University acceptance rate? 21%

Carleton University overall is a pretty good school. In terms of actual academics, I think Carleton still needs to get better overall but there are faculties that are just exceptional compared to others. Engineering, social work & journalism are noteworthy programs there. Others are just good enough.
