Recently the archer achievement has been haunting me because I’ve killed countless creepers with arrows. Even taking it literally and smacking a creeper to death with a arrow.. still nothing. Here the fix, I decided to give a world a go on editions. I’d crafted a bow and killed a creeper and ding ding ding. I’d unlocked the archer achievement.
I found out how to get it. Quick explanation. I play on PS that is link to a Microsoft Account. Obviously killing a Creeper with a bow and arrow didn’t work on PS. So I went and logged in on my Pocket Edition and killed a Creeper and that solved the issue. So basically your gonna have to switch platforms to get your Archers Quiver.
Just sitting on a 50 meter tall tower and sniping does not trigger the achievement. You need to be in a “duel”, i.e. within the skeleton’s vision range to “get its attention” as mentioned above. Then you can back off (up) to 50 meters and complete the duel.
